CRUISE

INTERNAL CULTURE

In late 2020, Cruise’s workforce was just starting to return to the office. Like most companies, the culture had devolved since the shutdown. Working within the constraints of COVID-era production, we produced an extraordinary range of stories, from internal year-end films to employer brand campaigns.

Note: All storytelling, including consumer advertising, contributes to a company's culture. This work was either exclusively internal, or prominently featured Cruise employees.

EMPLOYEE STORIES

Cruise has an astonishingly diverse workforce, with some of the most interesting backgrounds we’d ever encountered in one place. From former rocket scientists to nuclear submarine technicians, these are some of their stories.

FIRST RIDES

Taking your first ride in a driverless car is a magical experience. Documenting people’s expressions and reactions never got old. This included everyone from the CEO and Little Pickle, to everyday employees and their very proud parents.

TECH TALES

Who says technical content has to be boring? Especially when the people solving the problems get to share their brilliant work (and in some cases, their super rad t-shirts.)

YEAR-END VIDEOS

It started at the end of 2020, when we desperately wanted to thank Cruisers for their dedication during such a challenging year. It turned into an annual tradition. These won’t win any lions, but they were a joy and a privilege to make.

VETERAN VOICES

Cruise employed a lot of military veterans. Their experiences with complex logistical operations and autonomous vehicle tech made them a perfect fit. But being a veteran in the private sector isn’t always easy. These are their stories.
